The Origin of name "Joe Smith"
I had 3 hours of sleep for my 10:00 am class. I was rushing in Espana because I thought I will be late in my Labor Standard under Atty.Samson Alcantara. Honestly, I was not prepared for the class because I have focused myself in Obligations and Contracts which is our Major Subject. During the checking of attendance, my professor asked me regarding the origin of my name.. (the other day, Judge Philip Aguinaldo also asked the same)...
Trivia:
Anyway, I wanna share it with my readers... JOE SMITH was originated from the founder of Mormon or The Church of the Latter Day Saint -- JOSEPH SMITH. He is considered as the Prophet of Mormon. . JOE SMITH was only given to me by my cousin who belongs to that sect, however, my mother gave me different name in my two Baptism Certificates, the Catholic Baptism (1988) shows my name as "John Gerald Medina" while in my Born - Again Christian Baptism (2002) shows my name as "Jo Smith Medina," .... Of course, I have to follow the Birth Certificate. I do not have any British, Canadian or Australian blood. I think, it is a blessing to have this unique name because I am easily being recalled by others (enemies and friends hehehe).
Then, I was called by Atty. Alcantara to recite one case found in his book, thank God , the electrical impulses of my brain worked that time... He asked me what case I want to recite, then I told him "Sonza vs. ABS- CBN Broadcasting Center." Honestly, I have only read the case while inside the room.. I have applied the things I have been doing when I was still a Reviewer.. My technique is "Flash Clash Preview" This technique is very effective especially when you are cramming... The case of Sonza vs. ABS - CBN is very long, so I summarized in my mind per paragraph (At least 2 sentences per paragraph). I was able to deliver it ... :)
I do not have any story to tell... I will keep you guys posted everyday :)
